The People's Power criticized the supplementary budget (supplement) bill passed under the leadership of the Democratic Party as "nothing more than a budgetary frenzy that has thoroughly disrupted the country's finances under political governance."
The spokesperson of People's Power, Choi Soo-jin, stated in a comment on the 5th that "the Democratic Party forcefully pushed through an additional budget of 32 billion won without any agreement," proving that the words 'with words there is cooperation, with actions there is chaos,' 'the people's livelihood is an excuse, special expenses are the true intention' are by no means exaggerated.
He continued, “The supplementary budget included a discretionary cash subsidy called a consumption coupon, completely excluding the actual people's budget requested by the opposition party.” He then evaluated it as “a blatant populism trying to buy votes with taxpayers' money, nothing more than 'spending money for elections'.”
